Montserrat is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. Montserrat is one of the many overseas territory in the Caribbean, but the reason this stands out is because this is the only place where their capital is a ghost town. The reason it is a ghost town is because of a volcano explosion in the 1990's. The people tried rebuilding, but another eruption happened and so they gave up. There is actually 2 more "capitals" of the territory. One called Brades and the other Little Bay. Brades is the de facto capital of Montserrat. So, Plymouth is still the capital of the island.
