Brazos River (The River of Arms) is the 11th longest river in the United States and runs over 1,200 miles from its source at Blackwater Draw, Curry County, New Mexico to its mouth at the Gulf of Mexico. The river also features prominently in a number of prison songs, because at one time nearly every prison in Texas was near the Brazos.
Camp Worth Boy Scout Ranch hosts 50-mile canoe adventures for scouts, youth groups and families during the summer and canoe races during April and September.[1]
