Ready to get out and explore the area, here are a few suggestions on where to get started: Raft, float or swim down the Kern River. Grab a backpack and a camera then explore the many hiking trails and natural sites. If you have some loose change in your pocket, try your luck at the Eagle Mountain Casino or Golden West Casino. Attend a sporting event, concert or family show at the Rabobank Arena. Then be sure to visit Kern County's new home to NASCAR and Auto Club Famoso Raceway.

Bakersfield serves as home to the Rabobank Arena and Convention Center and the Bakersfield Speedway. Within an hour's drive from the hotel, guests can spend the day at the Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon Park, Lake Ming and Lake Isabella.
